The 2023 edition of Bendigo Goldfields 7s is in the books with over 110 games taking place across two days of action-packed, competitive Rugby 7s action.

The two-day tournament held at Epsom Huntly Reserve, Bendigo, welcomed teams from far and wide competing for the title of 2023 Bendigo Goldfields 7s Champions.

Junior competitions consisted of age groups ranging from U12s, U14s, U15s and U16s all competing on Saturday October 21, with Senior Men’s and Women’s competing over both Saturday and Sunday October 22.

Bendigo Goldfields 7s offered teams the opportunity to take the Rugby field for the first time and showcase their skills all for the love of the game, with the likes of local outfit Bendigo Fighting Miners Rugby Club fielding two Senior Women’s teams for the first time in over 50 years and Melton Broncos switching codes to come within arm’s reach of taking out the U12s title.

A special mention must be made to Tasmanian Rugby Union travelling across the ditch to participate in the U15 Girls Competition, with the Girls team incredibly grateful to be able to compete against interstate teams for the first time.

Rugby Victoria would like to congratulate the teams who took out the title of 2023 Bendigo Goldfields 7s Champions in their respective age group and thank all teams for making the trip to Bendigo to make the 2023 Bendigo Goldfields 7s a great success.

Rugby Victoria would also like to thank the City of Bendigo Council for allowing this event to take place!
