Neil Hay has been playing or involved in the administration of rugby for over 40 years.
During his time in the UK Neil played for Thanet Wanderers and Barnes RFC. He was also the Director of Rugby and Head Coach at Barnes RFC.
Neil has taken up many roles in the Victorian rugby community since moving to Melbourne. For 6 years Neil was U20’s Coach and Head of Playing Operations at Melbourne RFC. He is the former Head Coach of the Melbourne Chargers and took them to three Bingham Cups, claiming the title in 2016, and also coached the Monash University 7's Australian University Games side for 7 years.
He has been on the Board of Rugby Victoria for over 4 years and was appointed to the Melbourne Rebels Board in 2017.
Neil is a Chartered Surveyor and a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts. He is Managing Director of Hay Capital Pty Ltd consultancy and a Director at Serafini and Hay, property developers.
