Secondary Schools
Rugby Victoria has two programs available for secondary schools; Touch 7s and Play 7s.
Touch 7s

Touch 7s is an entry level secondary school program which features a fun and free flowing, non-contact form of rugby.

The program runs for 3 to 5 weeks, and teaches a range of skills which are transferrable across all rugby formats in a safe, fun, non-contact environment. Touch 7s games include kicking, and feature 7 players per-team, 7 touches, and 7 minutes halves.

Play 7s

Play 7s is an exciting, fast, game-based program designed to ease secondary school students into contact rugby in a safe and supervised way.

The skills learned through this program are transferrable to other formats, including Touch 7s, and Rugby XV’s. Rugby 7s games feature 7 players per team for 7 minutes of play, and the program runs for 3 to 5 weeks.
