Rugby Victoria has two programs available for secondary schools; Foxtel Touch 7s and Rugby 7s.

Foxtel Touch 7s

Foxtel Touch 7s is an entry level secondary school program which features a fun and free owing, non-contact form of rugby.

The program runs for 3 to 5 weeks, and teaches a range of skills which are transferrable across all rugby formats in a safe, fun, non-contact environment. Touch 7s games include kicking, and feature 7 players per-team, 7 touches, and 7 minutes halves.

Rugby 7s

School Rugby 7s is an exciting, fast paced, game based program designed to ease secondary school kids into contact rugby in a safe and supervised way.

The skills learned through this program are transferrable to other formats, including Foxtel Touch 7s, and Rugby XV’s. Rugby 7s games feature 7 players per team for 7 minutes of play, and the program runs for 3 to 5 weeks.

  • Moorabbin: Friday 2nd August – South East U14/U16 Boys 7s
  • Melton: Wednesday 7th August – West U14/U16 Girls 7s
  • Northern: Thursday 8th August – North U14/U16 Boys & Girls 7s
  • Melbourne: Friday 9th August – South East U14/U16 Girls 7s
  • Moorabbin: Wednesday 28th August – State Championships
